Bethlehem Books is one of our favorite publishers. If they have published it, we know it is good. Their speciality is historical novels written especially for the ten to fifteen year old student. These historical novels are particularly suited to the Catholic home school in that they convey historical knowledge in a very personal and engrossing way. They are very well written and provide excellent writing models for the young author. Our favorites include The Lost Baron a medieval thriller, With Pipe, Paddle and Song, a coming-of-age adventure story of a young voyageur in colonial Canada, and The Borrowed House, a World War II tale of occupied Holland.
In addition to the historical novels, Bethlehem Books has two delightful lives of the saints titles for little children, Once Upon A Time Saints and More Once Upon A Time Saints; and three science titles, Archimedes and the Door of Science, Galen and the Gateway to Medicine, and Mystery of the Periodic Table.
