What better way to introduce the Catholic home school child to both the elements of his religion and his language than an alphabet book?  Our favorite is God's Alphabet Book by Brenda and Tony Eubanks. "A is for Adam, the first person God made. B is for Bethlehem where Jesus was laid." And on through Zion. Each letter has an appealing illustration and a reference to an appropriate Bible verse.  The Angel's Alphabet is another good book with a different set of is fors. Catholic ABC is an inexpensive coloring book.
